Scientific Research Focus

I am a post-doctoral researcher and ecological modeler in the field of plant ecology and evolution. In my work, I combine empirical data with process-based models to better understand patterns of species' trait and niche evolution and their responses to changing environmental conditions. I am also interested in testing new methodological approaches, particularly for improving monitoring and modeling.

Currently I work in the PASIT project that addresses current and potential climate change impacts on fruit and nut growing regions in Tunisia and Chile by integrating phenological dormancy research and modeling of fruit and nut tree development with socio-economic approaches.
