Research topic: Identification of tomato lines with superior water and nutrient use efficiency with optical sensors

Scientific Research Focus

  • Development of phenotyping systems for adequate implementation of abiotic stresses
  • Evaluation of abiotic stress symptoms on the leaf-level with hyperspectral imaging techniques

  • Fluorescence-based quantification of stress-related leaf substances (e.g. chlorophyll, flavonols, anthocyanin)

  • Thermographic evaluation of drought stress and selection of tolerant lines

Academic Education

  • 2011 – 2014
BSc Agriculture, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität Bonn

  • 2014 – 2017
MSc Crop Science, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität Bonn

  • Since 2017
PhD student, INRES Horticultural Science, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität Bonn, work group stress physiology
